Everything is in the consumption function, the important thing is to produce as much as possible and to consume more and more. We are driven to waste and consume unnecessary goods, which abound in shops and malls, but basically we do not need.
Cuba is exactly the opposite, the invitation is to consume are what is needed. Waste is carefully avoided and the production is in line with the needs of the population and not the other way. An example is the concept which explains the absence of advertising. Not a sign, a poster, a television commercial that advertises the brand of a product rather than another. Good riddance!
Education is certainly a source of pride for the island. Illiteracy is practically nonexistent, because where there is even one child should be a school. From primary to university everything is completely free and compulsory education up to about sixteen. The textbooks are delivered at the beginning of the school year and returned at the end so they can be given to other students.
The importance of such a great education system is crucial not only because it is capable of forming citizens with a wide cultural, technical and skilled personnel but also because it is the best way to prevent social degradation. In a moment you will realize this and you will never see, as in much of the world, a baby abandoned on the street or begging or taking drugs or exploited or victims of crime. here is impossible and inconceivable.
Upon graduation, everyone will tell you, it automatically enters the world of work doing a job related to the route taken. In short, it does the job for which you studied and which we aspire. Unemployment is a word without meaning. A bit ' like us, where masses of graduates work in call centers, workers are seeking temporary or permanent employment.

I was very impressed by the dignity and pride of this people, a people who for fifty years defending itself from attempts of aggression and an American economic blockade that forced him to incredible efforts. Men and women who have a vast collective consciousness and solidarity, who know well the difficulties to be overcome to maintain the independence and freedom won with the revolucion, known to be a beacon for the entire Latin American.
I have therefore noted that the overall quality of life is very high. In addition to everything said so far is in fact added a fantastic natural environment, a lack of widespread social violence. And this is another aspect to be remembered. Cuba is probably one of the quietest places in the world where crime is virtually nonexistent. But not only.
While in the thriving West levels of violence are increasing day by day with murders, stabbings and fights for petty and trivial reasons such as condominium disputes, road, to a look of too much or to approach a girl ; with bullying which is rampant in young people, the spread of racism, xenophobia and hatred towards the other that often leads to aggression, that is with a society increasingly focused on the oppression of the strongest to the weakest and now close to barbarism.
There will not hear anything like that, these facts simply do not happen. There are other values \u200b\u200band attitudes that permeate the population such as respect, sharing, solidarity, altruism, civic sense and common good.
